Default 95 dakota heater

I have a 95 Dakota and the heater doesn't work. Do I need to replace the heater core? There is no coolant leaking on the floor. What about the evap core?

Does your '95 have the in-line valve on one of the two heater hoses going to the firewall? If so, make sure you have vacuum on the small line going to the valve. If no vacuum, the valve closes, stopping flow and heat.

Also, try back flushing the core before you replace it.
