I just bought a 1994 dodge dakota and I just installed a new front drive shaft in it. As I went to drive to test it when I turned it had a very loud almost grinding noise. I have no idea what it could be or how to fix it.

 

Are you driving on dry pavement?

I have this problem in my '93 Dakota 4wd, however, I don't have a front drive shaft on it at the moment. Any ideas?

 

Wheel bearings, CV axles, etc. The front still rotates even without a driveshaft.
