Default 1992 dodge dakota (need help)

I have a 92 dodge dakota 3.9l 5spd 2wd. I took the transmission out (broke the pivoting bolt). I finally got the transmission in it after sitting in my garage for 4 months. Now I have everything hooked up. I started it without the exhaust on because I wanted to see how it sounded. Turned it on star about 5 seconds. Then I finished it up and put the exhaust back on. Now it won't hardly turn over. I got it started once and it idled like **** and the rpm gage was going crazy. Any suggestions on why it isn't doing anything?

Not turning over sounds like weak battery or loose ground.

Wild RPM involving the transmission....Not sure, but does the 92 have a crank sensor on the flexplate? Maybe out of adjustment.
