Default Help me

So my egr tube snaped can I eliminate it or will it cause problems. It's in a 3.9 v6 dakota

Where did it snap? In a pinch you could sleeve it with a slightly smaller metal tube. Just coat the sleeve with some muffler-weld epoxy first. After you sleeve it test fit it, then install it in place before it sets up, otherwise you'll play hell getting it to line up.

I wouldn't eliminate it. The small amount of exhaust gases recirculated makes combustion more efficient and increases your mpg (slightly). There are block-off plates available, but then a new tube is only $40 or so.

I advocate fixing it. In spite of issues due to lazy engineering on some newer motors modern motors are more efficient and better than anything that came before. I advocate going with the stock setup unless there is a known improvement.
