Default 1990 dodge dakota 4x4 sport convertible

Folks, im restoring this 90 vert from scratch. I snapped an upper control arm shaft. Mopar says it's a discontinued part. I need one desperately. If any of you kind folks have one or can point me in a helpful direction would be most appreciated . Sheared clean off

Good news! You can pick up an upper control arm from any 1987-1990 Dakota, and I bet the 1991-1996 also, from the boneyard to get one from!

Bad news! The only real source is to go to the bone yard and ... well, you guessed it.

I THINK the shaft's the same for the 2WD also; plus I'd not be surprised that most Mopar RWD products used that same shaft (from the 'Cuda and Charger through the Aspen and Volare with their "rich corinthian leather" interior.) But I do not know for sure.

More bad news - those were never available separately from Mother Mopar, according to the parts list, but were always included with the upper control arm; which IS a NLA part.

Yeah i was trying to avoid all that , knowing what I had to go through to get this one. I do appreciate the advice. I may research what other vehicles use this. I still have to get the passenger side off.
