Default Front parking brake retainer

Ran into a problem while replacing the front portion of my parking brake. This part runs from the lever in the cab, through the floor pan, and into the frame. While removing the old cable from the frame I found the retainer that holds into place in the frame was broken. Not a huge deal, but I do need to find something else to keep it in there. I also honestly can't remember if the clip was originally inserted from the front, or came in through the back. Haven't been able to find a comparable retainer. Any Ideas?

I guess maybe it's been a while, but I replaced every bit of my parking brake system short of the lever. And I thought that when you buy a new section of cable it has a flanged end that just sits in that hole retained by cable tension. At least that's what mine is like now but it could be wrong as everything was rotted before.
