Default Is this guy nuts or what?

Would you pay $6500 for a 1993 2wd V-8, even if it only supposedly has 90k original miles?

The ad is for a 1993 2WD V-8 extended cab, auto, with the Mark III package. It is listed here: https://ithaca.craigslist.org/cto/d/...229257633.html

Just in case the ad gets taken down, here is the entirety of the text in the ad: Rare Dodge Dakota with factory 318 magnum absolutely no rust 2 nd owner never seen winter, Has Mark 3 conversion . 90k auto trans extended cab, this truck is car show ready or drive it daily. 6500 or bo . 24 years old one more year it will be antique. Truck has power windows, cold air. cruise control, power locks ,YOU WONT FIND ONE SPOT OF RUST ON THIS BABY ORIGINAL PAINT.

I emailed him, and his actual reply was, just because there are a lot of people out there who know these trucks, i am pretty sure there are just as many teens and 20 something's who dont, and that is who i am hoping will buy this. In other words, he is hoping to sucker someone into buying it. Even with all that aside, i see first gen V-8's, maybe not with the Mark III package, but with roughly the same or a bit more miles for $2,000 or less in really good shape down south and out west all the time, so i think he is nuts. What do you guys think?

Nuts? No, I don't think so. Full of wishful thinking, sure. Craigslist is full of ads that are priced way out of the ballpark. It's usually from bad advice, bad research, or they see one listed for the same price on ebay (which also doesn't sell).

As for suckering someone, he's not. He's listed what it is and a price. Up to the buyer to do their own research. If someone is too lazy to price compare and do their own research, then that's not his fault. If someone buys it for $6500 and is happy with it, not his fault...he's lucky, not sinful.

Just my 2c

It's really super clean. I would pay too much for that truck, but not quite that much. Honestly if it were mine I would probably put it up for around the same, and expect to be talked down into the mid to high $4k range.
