Mine also makes some noise, some from around the master cylinder and some from in the clutch assembly. My master/slave hydraulic assembly is new as is the throwout bearing and the clutch is in good condition. I think it's normal, but just to eliminate the pedal itself, put some grease on the pivot point and see if it changes.
I just noticed some clutch pedal noise. When depressed I hear a click, then crunch noise.
Seems to run fine though??
Does it make the exact same sounds with the motor OFF? If so, it's your bushings on the linkage. Or possibly in the linkage in the bell housing, but laying on your back looking up under the dash manipulating the clutch pedal should let you aurally locate if it's under the dash or not.
If, however, the motor must be running to produce the sounds - get it back to your mechanic soonest; there's a problem in the clutch assembly.

More than likely, its either the clutch itself going (they will make all kinds of odd noises once the clutch disk itself is about wore out (ask me how i know this)), or, something i have seen on a few 5 speed Dakota's, the rod that goes from the clutch pedal to the clutch master cylinder bends (happened to me on 4 different first gen Dakota's, which is why i finally built my own out of heavier steel rod), and it will hit the firewall where it goes through to the master cylinder and make odd noises.
