Default 89 dakota 4x4 tie rod end and idler arm torque specs?

Any one out there have the torque specs for the tie rod ends and idler arm castle nuts? Thx

For the tie rod ends, the FSM shows 55 lb/ft for a 1988. For the idler, it shows 38 lb/ft.

For a 1995 (the next year I have), it shows 55 lb/ft for the tie rod end castle nuts and 40 lb/ft for the idler arm castle nut. That close, I'd bet 38 to 40 lb/ft won't make any difference.

as an alignment guy I have changed MANY idler arms on all kinds of cars and trucks. I have NEVER busted out the torque wrench to cinch the bolts down on one. Not that critical. impact? sure. many times. just don't "hammer" on the trigger once it sounds tight.

Yah. One or at most two ugga-duggas is enough.

Then align the castle to insert a brand new cotter pin, and tie it off.
