Removal of vapor canister...88 Dakota 3.9 V6

Default Removal of vapor canister...88 Dakota 3.9 V6

Can you remove the vapor canister that is located at the right front of the truck & just cap it off where the vacuum lines go to from it, to delete it?
I live in Georgia, where there are no emissions tests.

Well the gas tank has to vent somewhere....

Reminds me that the plastic nipple on my vapor canister is busted so it's venting from the tank directly into the engine bay.

I should probably do something about that.
