Default From Under The Under The Hood or Take Part of The Front End Off?

Evening all,

Noticed I have a marker light out, my manuals are packed in the back of the Dakota so thought I would pop on here for an answer. Is it a quick change just pop something out of the sidewall or am I looking at pulling the headlight assembly or something loss to change the bulb?

Thank you.

This may depend on if it's passenger or driver side; I can reach both on my 1988 if I remove the battery hold down and shift the battery back, but the layout's slightly different on a 1993.

The good news is, it's not that hard to pull the "headlight doors" or bezels off the truck, swap the light, and put them back on.

For 1995, which should be the same, for the Aero lamps, the factory service manual shows going from the engine compartment. For the sealed beams, it shows removing the bezels.

Ralph,

Driver's side. I have all the spare bulbs, including headlights which I have changed and know are under the hood, I just don't remember seeing anything when I was doing that that indicated anything else could be changed there.
