Default Intro and hemi questions

Hi all new here have a 94 2wd Dakota with a 5.2. Have a 5.7 out of a 2007 Chrysler 300 the wiring and computer are already sorted out, just planning ahead on the swap which will start soon, with pics of course. For anyone who has done this, what have you done for motor mounts and exhaust (manifolds/headers mainly). I have the means to fab my own mounts no big deal, but just wondering what others have done. Look forward to getting to make some friends here.

Dang, I have to say I think that's a pretty rare swap but I'm excited to see your write up and pictures. I'd actually be surprised if anyone posts up having done a hemi swap. Awesome!

I know I’m already in for an uphill climb, but it will be well worth it. Still debating on which trans to use, but I’m picking up a 8.8 tomorrow and I already have the 5.7, it will be naturally aspirated with a little cam while I build my other motor which is a 5.7 block 20 over forged internals with turbos. Everyone around my town does ls swaps and I’ve done a few myself with friends, nobody does hemi swaps so I’m really looking forward to tapping into the unfound potential in these motors.

*dry* The Hellcat crate engine and transmission makes most of the potential found.

If you want something different, find something like a Baby Hemi (the early to mid 50's Dodge Red Ram / Super Red Ram Hemi motors) and build off of one of those.

It's different, it'll be cool.

It won't be all that fast, now; but TBH, how fast DO you expect to make a brick wall going down the road? *grins*

Why not a 426 hemi or stroked big block? If you really want to be different put in a poly 318. Most people don't even know what they are.
