I would think the change from a 85MPH (early) or 125MPH (later) cable driven speedo to a 110MPH electronic speed would be a bit more noticeable, myself, rather than the font.

never really paid attn to that, as I don't have anywhere near that I can open my truck up that far.... but my 92 with cable drive is marked 45-55-65-75 etc and my 96 is marked 40-50-60-70 etc....

You don't look at the highest number on the speedo face, but you notice the font difference?
