advance auto... that's your 1st mistake. I just got a pair of reman calipers each for my 92 2wd and my 96 4x4 over this past summer, had one bind up on me on the 92 then within 2 weeks I had the 96 do the same thing.... the same weekend, I did my 92 I also did pads and rotors on the 96... but no calipers "then"/at that time I had put new hoses on the 96 a year earlier. The weekend in between replacing calipers on my 2 Dakotas, I pulled my popup camper with the 96, 2 states away... no problem then... couple days later my wife tells me she "smells something hot" as she drove the 96 back n forth to work... it had 189,000 on what I believe were the original calipers. my driver front caliper had locked up. I hit the front rotors with my infrared and the driver side was 100* hotter than the other side right after a drive.
I had NO TROUBLE getting calipers for either, for the 96 they had them in stock, I called right at closing time when I did my 92, had them on the counter by 8AM the next morning..... find a traditional parts store, I have a Federated and a NAPA near me that are really good, I miss Car Quest, Advance bought (and ruined) them.

The point is, you won't find brake LINES preset for our trucks, but you'll find brake HOSES

Copper! I wish! Nickel copper is what's on my truck now but it was all steel before. F@$# rust.
