Default 88 v6 dying when pushing in clutch

I have an 88 sport with the v6. it starts rough and is misfiring but throwing no codes when I am driving coming to a stop and press in the clutch with will lower to 200 or less rpm and sometimes die at this point. when it does die I have to press the accelerator to get it to turn over because it just wants to crank and crank. I have replaced the fuel filter distributor idle air control valve and now the three plugged bricks of my cat are ground up on the floor of a shop. me and my mechanic are at wits end at what may be causing this, he says its acting like a vacuume leak but we cant find any. hints suggestions?

Replace EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE VACUUM LINES.

I'll repeat.

REPLACE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE VACUUM LINES.

Until you've done that, you'll chase vacuum leaks from now until doomsday ... and STILL have some!
