more info about the 78 fury, please. . I have one of those too..... the 318 in mine is far from a gas hog..... but it is MAINTAINED too, though...… looking to do some things to that car that will give it some giddy up without hurting the mileage too bad..... mine is a 2 door, Im the 2nd owner, with only 52K original miles..... I have owned for 12 years now and counting, no plans of parting with that car any time soon.

Idk. The fury got maybe 8 to the gallon. This 93 Dakota le gets about 18. Custom exhaust makes me want to push it sometimes. Yeah my fury was a 2 door also door

15w40 diesel oil works good in old pushrod engines like the Magnums, it has higher levels of zinc that provides better protection than model gas engine oils. I run 15w40 diesel oil in my 3.9 Magnum and Jeep 4.0.

(The good stuff changed regularly and on time is even better, natch!)

I'm running Rotella T6 in my 1988 now - I just turned 3,000 on this oil/filter change, used a 5 quart to do the oil/filter change (not the whole thing at first!), topped off with the last of that, then added a quart, and it's at FULL now.

So win win for me so far.

I pretty religiously run the T6 synth in my VW tdi's, I do 8000 mile change interval, for the price it's a good product. I have noticed that the price has climbed a tad recently. I have also tried the Delo full synth too and the price point on that is even better. Around here I can't find the T6 in a 5 quart jug, all we have is the gallon.

Change your coolant too if you can't remember when it was last changed.

Exactly, the rust inhibitors in the coolant begin to break down after two years. At that point it's time to replace, just like it's probably a good idea to replace brake fluid at 2 year interval too.

Being an "LE version" has nothing to do with how good it does (or doesn't) do on MPG.
