Default '95 2WD - Electrical Problems

Radio doesn't work.Got two used ones,& neither works,
so I'm thinking it's not the radio.
The interior light doesn't work either. Also, the gas gauge
is jumpy,& won't read properly.
Any help is appreciated.

Step 0 - Download the factory service manual from the link in the FAQ.

But - I'd be checking grounds, fuses, and connectors.

One thing a lot of people miss on the radios - did you connect the ground wire?

There's no negative return on the wiring harness; our radios use a ground wire to a dash brace.

Next check the connection AT the cross brace; if it's been loose at all, it can corrode enough to cause a no-connection problem.

(Hence the "Check Grounds").

Be sure to pull the factory service manual PDF down from the FAQ; you can use that to back trace the wiring to find out where it's not working.

Theres a really small fuse in the fuse box under the hood. That's the problem. Its like 2.5 or 5 amp.
