Angry When A Trip To Have A Flat Fixed Goes Wrong

The photos are after leaving at shop for 90 Minutes.

I drove it in.

Not too happy.

So went out this afternoon to run a couple of errands. Found a flat, borrowed my dad's Tahoe took care of errands and called AAA when I got home. I have a broken foot, my dad a bad back, so even though there was a compressor in garage it seemed like the best bet. Service aired up the tire because I noticed the cap was off, all 4 tires had them when I checked air on Sunday. Drove it a mile and a half to nation chain ship, they had 8 cars in front of my but said it would been done in about 90 minutes. Called dad went home made dinner was back in about 75 minutes. Truck was still in same place, but tech was in it. Watched him get in and out 3 times then he comes into the lobby and says "I can not get it to start." I have had issues with turning the key and nothing. no clicks or anything, I put it in gear and back to park and it starts right up. Figured that was the issue. Nope.

I get in and the key will not even go in after some jiggling and a tad of force it goes in, but will not turn at all, The steering will turn with key out of ignition. I tried it, my dad tried it, the shops manager tried it. He filled out paperwork to their claims department and was not happy with the tech. Call to AAA for a tow. Driver says that tumblers are messed up. When asked if they and the steering wheel lock are same system and would go, he said no someone put a lot of force into it. Thing is tech messed himself up in front of several people but saying what he did not the key doesn't turn. He seems upset when he got out the second time and he went back for a third try.

So waiting for claims department to call, need to get estimate to have it fixed. What am I looking at? Any possible fixes that anyone has discovered?

Replace the ignition switch. Pretty easy to do.

Watched videos on YouTube according to them key has to be in run position to pull the cylinder. O'Rielly's has them in stock around the corner from my house.
