Default 1990 dakota AC

I replaced both coils, evaporator and condenser and the drier, and expansion valve. I see the low pressure port right on top of the compressor. but i do not see a high pressure port. I need to pull a vacuum, so i need both. Or can i pull it off one port
there is a filter looking thing on the line that goes from the compressor to the condenser coil. it looks like a valve on it. but it looks a little different.

It probably looks different because it's still the R12 valve, and you will probably need the R134a conversion adapter.

But yep, the filter is the high pressure fitting.

Low pressure is on the compressor; you've got the good location.

Pick up an adapter kit, pull that vacuum HARD. Let it sit a few days to make sure the seals at the receiver/dryer aren't leaking, also - those are a common leak point, I don't think the quality of workmanship is there for most manufacturers.

thank you, i had a conversion kit but it was not small enough for that valve. it is about the size of a tire valve

See if you can find a R12 hose set for your manifold gauge then; that'll take care of it also.
