Hi, new to the forum just purchased a 1993 Dodge Dakota ext cab v6 magnum with 166k on it. This thing hasnt been driven in about 6-8 months. I'm starting with the basics on it oil, change, tune up, my issue is I cant find the fuel injectors on this thing. I looked in the throttle body where I thought they were and nothing. Am I blind or are they located somewhere else? Any help would be appreciated.
The 1993 is a Multi Port Fuel Injection engine; the TBI was only 1988 to 1991 on the V6.
They're under the fuel rails either side of the throttle body.
Here's a picture of the V8 intake with the injector bosses marked ... the V6 is just shorter with only three bosses. The injectors of course plug into the bosses. Also, each side will have a pair together then one to itself, instead of two pairs, like the V8 does.
Thank you for the help, made it much easier... not much about the 1993 on youtube. Bought the truck for $500, trying to see if I can save it. Major tune up, oil change, switching to double roller timing chain. Not much of a mechanic so trying to learn from anywhere I can.
Step 0 - Buy a copy of the factory service manual - Ebay quite often will have one used, but Bishko ( http://autobooksbishko.com ) will have them new, on disk or in paper. I'm cheap, I'd order the disk version.
Oil filter - Don't skimp. Check up on the different filters out there, but if you're lazy, stick with Mopar. Can't go wrong with Mopar.
Oil - I'd use a diesel rated oil in a vehicle that old until I had a chance to go through it. Matter of fact, I DID - Rotella 15W40 on my 1988 here in Louisiana. Pick a viscosity better suited for your area, though. (Since the rebuild, I've been running synthetic - T6 5W30 up until the last one, when I went for the "Gas truck" Rotella synthetic.)
Treat it nice, it'll be a good truck to you.
Oh, don't forget to get the fluid and filter changed, and the bands adjusted, in the transmission. Also, be sure to get the cooling system flushed.
thanks a lot, really helped... I have zero clue about working on Transmissions, thats well beyond my little bit of knowledge so I guess that one will be saved for the shop. dropping gas tank today for fuel pump, and clean out tank. I just retired so glad to have something to keep me busy.

It's not that hard to adjust your tranny. In fact, it's pretty easy. You can do it when changing the fluid and filter (which is also easy). Look up some You Tube vids (you have the time).
