Default 1996 Dodge dakota head light not working! Need Help ASAP

I have a first gen 1996 dodge dakota, 3.9 L V6. My head lights don't work. My running lights and high beams work though. I need help asap to resolve this. Please see pictures attached. Any advice would help. I'm supposed to get the truck inspected and insured today. Also I don't know how to permanently keep the high beams on

You verify the headlights are good? There are two filaments. One for low, one for high....

No.

Your high beams also don't work. They stay on.

Flash to Pass is what's working. At least we know wiring from dimmer to high filaments works.

Headlight switch and or connector is where to check second.

First would be the factory service manual.

THIRD woukd be dimmer switch, which is part of the multi function switch on your truck.

So my dimmer switch doesn’t seem to work. The lights didn’t come on when I tryed to switch them from low to high. High beams do work flash and pass tho. My windshield wipers work but can’t get the light to work

Umm ...

It's internal to the multi function switch. You activate it by that handle on the left side of the column (the one so few people use to fire up the turn indicators.)

You also pull back on it to activate FlashToPass - which is a different fuse and circuit into the switch.

Odds are good the switch is good if you get that; I'd be checking voltages at the headlight switch.

The FSM is linked to in the FAQ message in the stickies here; if you download that, go to page 8W-50-4 and start checking that portion of the switch. Appears that the fuse is good; the wiring TO the headlight switch is good; and the wiring TO the multifunction switch is good so F2P works. OTOH, I'd be checking to see if anything's going out the light grey wire from the headlight switch to the multi function switch; you can unplug the MFS and check that wire there (there's always a chance the MFS is farked there!) That might be easier as a troubleshooting step.

That's where I'd start.

Read thru and I don't see where the bulbs might have been replaced. Two bad bulbs is not unheard of. So were they?
