The factory didn't make the original one. And I've seen factory original ones not last that long even. I agree though that buying parts today is a crap shoot. I try to minimize this by sticking with tried and true brands that have been around longer. Avoid no name or new brands that you haven't heard of. These water pumps aren't that tough to change. At least you can DIY and save over half of what any shop would charge for doing the same job for you.

well it has chrysler logo and it made in usa if i recall. so its a darn good choice. my original made it 100k and still worked fine. but hek, put one of those refurbished piece of junk in if you want. the front bearing they use is chinese garbage

It WAS made in USA.

It's NOW "Hecho en China" or at least Mexico. And probably has a Chinesium front bearing anyway. *sads*

i thought i might still have the box laying around but no. it may have said mexico or brazil as ive seen factory parts from both those places. i know for sure it wasnt china.
