Default two hoses underneath intake 2.5

hey, there are two hoses that attach under the intake between the filter and the TB? I'm not sure which one goes where. Any thoughts? Also, where is a good location to attach a smoke machine? I'm trying to find vacuum leaks. The RPMs seem to hang after shifting (manual trans).

Well, there's two completely different 2.5s used in these Dakotas.

What year is yours?

EDIT: Saw the signature - a 1995 Dakota, so the Chrysler 2.5 .

The 1995 factory service manual is downloadable from a link in the FAQ message, about 40% of the way down. Also, a 94-96 parts list. I'd grab both if I were you.

Referring to that 1995 FSM, I see a few possibilities. You may have to trace it out. But there's the A.I.R. pump air hoses, the EGR pipe, I bet there's a heat riser to go up to the air filter housing, etc.
