Box height question
Hoping someone is able to get some measurements from a factory Dakota.
I'm in the process of putting my square body on a 3rd gen frame, and it seems to sit much higher then factory. Making it work on the 3rd gen dak frame isn't an issue but I'm curious what the factory 1st gen height from the ground to the top of the box at the back is, as well as ground to middle of the front fender well.
Is anyone able to take a quick measurement for me?

"Ground to top of box" will vary depending on load, won't it?
Better to measure ground to top of frame where it mounts up.
I mean, I can take a quick measurement, on old tired springs with a load in the bed ...
Might be better to compute where the mounts are, how far off the bottom of the sides they are, and how high the sides are compared to the 3rd gen sides.

Yeah I understand it varies depending on load. I should have taken measurements of the truck before I stripped it. Saying that, factory Dakota's, as in no lift and factory sized tires, should sit roughly the same. This truck was stock originally.
