Default 95 dakota killin me...

I have fought this truck twice. First time it died and after tons of parts the 02 sensor had shorted out. So now on to the new problem..

Truck has complete new ignition system, I have fixed dreded splices under the pdb. Here's my problem truck runs great but go to drive makes about a mile and dies. Set with the key off for a minute fired right back up but another 30 feet or more it will just die.. Fishy thing is I'm losing my speedo when this happens. Only code is 54 cam timing. But pick up coil is brand new.. Any ideas before I crush it..

Check wiring from the cam sensor back to the ECU? Swap the ECU for a spare from a boneyard? (Before swapping, do the "disconnect negative battery cable, remove/reinstall connector three or four times to the ECU, reconnect negative battery cable, see if that helped any" trick, though!)

Sell it to me for $100?

I pulled out the wiring diagram and boom... I found out the Variable speed sensor in the tranny wires were bare. And rubbing together. It shares a common wire with like 6 different things including cam sensor. So fixed the wiring. Like a brand new truck again
