Default got the head off.

the compression was 120 60 135 120. there were a lot of loose bolts and nuts. i will be taking the head into the machine shop tomorrow i wiggled a few of the valves that were sticking up are they suppose to wiggle sideways, and it looks like the top end was starved for oil at one time which would explain the rattle up top. i also broke a few of the plastic vacuum lines as well. they only have 188,000 miles on them.

no cracks just warped a little and the cam was worn and one valve didn't seal well. cleaned and vac checked and milled for 90 bucks.

And 30 years; that's another factor.

So yah, they're probably all broken or breaking.

I'd do brass replacements - wait, I DID do brass replacements! - when you redo yours.
