Default Stuck shifter

I got to replace all the bad bulbs in my cluster and now my shifter on my 1995 Dodge Dakota won't come out of park

Will the steering wheel turn? If not, you might have it pinned against the interlock. Likewise with the key cylinder.

Might be a stuck interlock then. Pull the shifter boot off the steering column, look in, and you'll see a little protrusion for the key cylinder lockout. It can seize up over time.

Might be better if you post this in the 1st Gen forum, as far as getting concise information.
