Default 95 Dakota - Transmission Pan

Hello,

A while back I smashed the transmission pan of my 1995 Dodge Dakota 5.2L on a curb when the city was doing road work. The truck is working fine but I want to replace it and change the filter just to be on the safe side.

When I go to moparpartsgiant:

https://www.moparpartsgiant.com/part...ub%20Cab%202WD)

I get two options:
  • PAN, Trans. Oil
    26
    PAN, Trans. Oil
    4428462
    PAN, Trans. Oil
    w/o P.T.O.
    • Fitting Vehicle Options:
      N,B, R
  • 26
    PAN, Trans. Oil
    4617689
    w/P.T.O.
    • Fitting Vehicle Options:
      R
What is P.T.O. and the fitting options? I just want to make sure I get the right pan.

Thanks!

Power Take Off - I sincerely doubt if you have a PTO if you don't know you have a PTO.

Alright thanks for the education! Never heard of that until today. Yes I definitely don't have PTO on my vehicle so I guess I'm looking for 4428462 or equivalent.

If you are ever planning on tranny fluid changes in the future, get one with a drain plug. You can install one but if you are changing out the pan anyway ...

Agree with skids on the drain plug. One other consideration if you have the pan off changing filters, etc is to adjust the bands (there are two of them). It's not hard but you need torque wrenches and 12 point sockets. Plenty of vids showing how it's done. Make sure you use the torque spec for your specific tranny.
