Default Oil pressure issues

I wanted to say thank you to start, because of this forum I figured out the issue to my intermittent shut down no start problem. On to the issue at hand! My oil pressure is about 3/4ths at highway speed which I assume is normal and would drop down to just alittle above the left line. So I decided to change the oil pressure switch and now it stays at the left line and only raises a bit past it at highway speed, could the new sensor be bad? Or could I have tightened it down to much?

It could be.

It could also be that you didn't get the connector on solid.

It could ALSO be accurate ... but there's no telling how accurate your GAUGE is.

Can't tell for sure; to tell you'd need to T that line and put a mechanical oil pressure gauge in there also (mounted under the hood most likely).
