Thanks for your response. It's been so long I can't quite remember but I *think I tried that too as I read that elsewhere. Funny how theser things work, I simply got used to pulling the fuse and not having a radio that works or a ring light but hey the truck still starts up every time now

 

On my 95 there is a delay relay on the fuse panel, in the cabin. It keeps the halo ring on for a limited amount of time. If it is malfunctioning, it may not be turning that circuit off.
