Photos of auto trans shift linkage. 1st photo without bushing 2nd with. Check that the bushing exists and ISN'T cracked or broken. There's also a blueish fitting on the same shaft toward the transmission. Make sure that's intact. Driver's side, perpendicular to tranny. If that all looks OK then Hey You's neutral safety switch suggestion remains valid.

For clarity. Trans work was another car (gotta love late model Saturn's...I guess). the cost of that trans work has me searching for low-cost/DIY solutions for this vehicle No trans work on this truck, but I'll sheck that linkage nonetheless.

I also replaced the computer less than a year ago (along with several other things not related to the ignition system), so the 62 is weird. Battery (currently) is fully charged. No wear on any wire harnesses. All the fuses/Relays look good. All electical systems come on when I turn the key, so I'm not thinking a wiring issue either. Anyone have any idea what to do next? Just dropped 4.5K on a new transmission for another car, so I kinda am wanting tips on how to fix this myself without towing it to a shop. Anyone have any ideas? Are there any previous posts I have missed here?
Code 62
EMR Miles Not Stored (Unsuccessful attempt to update the EMR (Emissions Maintenance Required) mileage in the PCM)
I post that because it may be related to the "new" computer. I could not find anything about that code which might indicate if it can prevent a start.

Otherwise These are the ignition system parts in my 94 factory manual. Shouldn't be that different for yours. IDK what "secondary ignition cables" are.
Spark plugs, ignition coil, Secondary ignition cables (plug wires?), Distributor with rotor and camshaft position sensor, computer, Crankshaft position sensor.
ASD relay is in the power distribution center (fuse/relay box in engine bay on top of driver fender.) The computer controls power to this.

Have you checked to see if you have a corroded connector off your fuse box under the hood. I replaced everything ignition and fuel wise on my dakota and found out on this forum it was a corroded connector. There's a red/white power wire that connects to 2 red/white wire off the fuse box. Strip the old tape off

till you find it
