Default Fuel gauge erratic (fuel slosh)

92 Dakota 5.2
installed new Delphi fuel pump a couple months ago. I installed the pump correctly so the sending unit float was in correct position and clear from obstruction. Fuel gauge worked perfect all this time. But this past week, the gauge doesn’t delay to compensate for fuel sloshing around in tank or compensate for hills etc. so in other words, needle moves around when the fuel moves around pretty rapidly. If on a hill for 1 second, it shows on gauge. Pretty annoying. Any ideas why no more steady gauge.

It could be the sender in the new pump is faulty. I found two pages This one says the OE builder usually has an anti slosh module https://www.autometer.com/blog/faq-p...-i-am-driving/
And this one just happens to be the same brand you bought.
