AT-205 Works!
1993 Dodge Dakota LE, 5.2L V8, A518 Automatic, RWD, 185,000 miles, Original Owner
Had a couple leaks from the engine. Replaced the valve cover gaskets 15 months ago. Turns out near half the screws holding down the covers were loose. Didn’t even need a tool to remove them. Explains that leak. Probably didn’t even need to replace the gasket but I had a Fel Pro on hand so went ahead and replaced the gaskets anyway. The second leak is coming from the rear main seal. No gusher by any stretch. Didn’t even really drip on the garage floor but it was always wet at that mating surface. I poured some AT-205 in the crankcase on my last oil change. Just checked (571 miles later) and it was totally dry. I’m also not going thru any oil anymore, not noticeably anyway. I’ll see if I’m burning any when I change my plugs in the Fall. If I am it can’t be much. I always change my oil n filter every 3K. I suspect the internal organs are in pretty good shape.
Anyhow, AT-205 works. Guessing I’ll need to add it with every oil change.
That is all.
