Default Filler Neck...Part Diagram...Please help.

All,
Working on a 1988 Dodge Dakota. 3.9 liter, Auto.

Its in good condition for its age in the Salt belt but its a project still.

I recently replaced brake lines, frozen alternator/belts, and currently getting it started again. It runs good but just recently not getting anything out of the coil. I think its related to the 12 volts not getting to the coil and it not running for any amount of time. (about 4 years). I was going to do that and a ignition tune up this weekend.

On the list yet is the tank straps (one rusted thru) and the filler neck.

Tank Straps are easy enough.

I have found a filler neck new reasonable. I am being told its not including the plastic box at the end of the filler neck that attaches to the bed of the truck. Below is the needed parts(2 - filler neck and plastic box ) .

1988 Filler neck including the plastic box on the end below.

What I can get new (below).

There is another part that fits on the one I can get easily. Its a plastic box piece to the truck bed but I cannot find a parts diagram for this vehicle.

Does anyone have a Parts Diagram for a 1988-1996 for a 1988 Dodge Dakota? Website? Specifically the fuel filler neck area and its associated part numbers so I can get one either new or new to me...mine is broken to the point of none use.

Thanks everyone,
Chris

Is the part actually damaged? IDK about the 88 but the 94 has a hose between the hard pipe from the filler hole to the hard pipe coming out of the tank. I assume to make removing the bed easier. Here's the part on RA

Thanks for the response!

I found this part for about half the cost Rock Auto cost. The one image I included is this part but I have not purchased it. I checked on eBay and there is a group that had it for $56 shipped but it appears similar (after a quick email) to the one I found for about $40 shipped but again it did not have this box included.

So I am not sure if the Rock Auto one would have it for $70 as well?

I am surprised that I cannot find a parts diagram resource for this 1988 Dakota. I do have the factory service manual maybe I can locate it in there but I assume that the part is separate (possibly) purchasable component/part?

I might have to reach out to Rock Auto as I have done a lot of business with them and maybe they would know if its included or not in there item but not sure other than showing them in images what to refer to this box as exactly.

Again thanks for the response/help!
Chris

IDK what plastic box you reference but the pictures of the top item at the link show the same part as you do on top.

All,
I stopped by my Dodge Dealer (One I bought my 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan GT.

They were able to bring up the part Diagram. Unfortunately they say no dealer has the box.

The Gasket is available.

But for what its worth below is the image;

Thanks,
Chris

Default Found...

All,
I was not able to find the box. Seems like its brittle when they get older...I confirmed that issue. Not available new anywhere I could find.

But I found the filler neck part with the box (image confirmation)...I could not figure out how to contact RockAuto...so I reached out to everyone on eBay...One came back a few minutes ago and they have more than 10 available.

Thanks everyone for the help and consideration!
Chris
