I installed a new distributor in my 91 5.2..I put it on number 1 marked it all..Cranked right up.. But I want to set the base timing @ 10 .. So someone before me marked the timing tab on the cover at 0 And marked the balancer at 26 degrees ? Anyway do I mark the balancer at 10 btd and the timing cover tab at 0..I'm at a lost here my manual doesn't help

I suggest you get a silver sharpie and mark the timing marks on the balancer to make things easier to see from top or bottom.
