Somebody Please, I Need Help with transmission
Hi, I'm new here and I know this is gonna sound odd but I really need help, I have an 88 Dakota Sport 4x4 and I'm in the middle of a transmission rebuild trying to make sure everything is functional. When getting the transmission and transfer case out, I never organized the hardware that mounts the transmission, transfer case, their linkages and the starter by mistake and I'm struggling to find info on where everything is supposed to go. If you have a 87-91 Dodge Dakota with an automatic transmission and a transfer case, could you please help me out and either describe & show each bolt and their placement or picture of where and how everything is mounted, I'd appreciate it. If you want to see the photos I have, that's fine.
Hopefully someone will post an answer. You can get the factory service manual and probably trans manuals from Bishko the original publisher of them on CD for about $40.
There is a 42rh/46rh auto trans manual on the FAQ page about halfway down. IDK if that will help.
