What are you guys doing to have a place for tie down straps to secure a load in the bed of a first gen truck?

I bought the stake hole pocket rings from LMC and they are not even close to the right size for the hole - way too small, by like 1/2" in both dimensions.

What solutions are there short of bolting D-rings to the wood floor?

 

What kind of truck do you have? I don't remember ever seeing wood floors in a Dakota of any generation. There should be some factory hooks on the corners. Got any pictures?
