I have a '94 Dakota that has working heat and a/c except for the panel vents don't work. I looked underneath the dash and confirmed that all the actuators move when buttons are pressed. However after sticking my phone up in the dash from the drivers side, I found that the panel/floor actuator rod doesn't actually connect to anything, its just moving back and forth doing nothing. I want to reattach it but ran into a problem: where on earth is that door? I still can't find it. I also wonder if the actuator isn't pointing in the correct direction, it could have fallen down. These photos are looking toward the passenger side from up underneath the driver's side dash. (Sorry for the blurry photos.) Also would removing some of the panels and pulling this unit down make this easier?
