Default New and just got a 94 dakota with miledly worked 318

Im new to the Dodge world.. I alwayz had imports my whole life, Allmotor and turbos..

I recently picked up at 1994 Dakot with some work done to the motor.. Has cams, headers, exhaust, High ignition, Holley carb..

It is the v8.. I was wondering if the holley carb was stock on these motors??? and how do i tell the size? also it needs a driverside motor mount.. does anyone know where i can get one cheap , i tried ebay, no result.. anyone on here have one in good condition?
The truck is awsome, has a brand new laquer paint job.. a year old. its is lowered with stock cromes on it.. truck is pretty fast.. and loud..

It has not cat on it.. its just header to straight pipe with flow master.. smokey.. i hate that.. Im looking for a Cat to use..
And suggestions on the exhaust i should do??

I was thinking maybe header to cat, to y pipe to dual 2.5 to dual flow masters.. im willl get pics up soonn.. just need some quick help.. Thanx guys

318s really like a single 3" exhaust. In fact 92-93 trucks came with such an exhaust stock. That and better flowing exhaust manifolds resulted in a 5-10hp increase over later years.

Holley made the throttle body for Dodge. The stock TB has some ridges around the bores, about 1/2" or so in height. An aftermarket TB will not have them. Holley does make a billet aluminum TB, and several people sell ported stock TBs.

Pick up a magnaflow/carsound cat on ebay. Usually $60 or so. It is a high flow cat.

Congrats on the new truck!

thank you..
I was under the car yesterday and saw the exhaust set up it has

It goes from header >straightpipe> flowmaster > tailpipe.. It is all 2.5 piping

Does that sound good or should i go to 3 inch??? is there a very notciable difference with the 3" piping???

Also while under there i noticed something odd.. The tranny mount was totally busted and in place of the mount, there was a chain holding the tranny down???? i know thats not supposed to be like that and i also observed that both left and right mounts need to be changed.. they had slight rips/cracks in them. But the tranny one i was like wtf... because the previous owner told me that something rattels and he thinks its the exhaust..LOLOL now i know what he was hearing the tranny moving around... My next questoing is if i put the mount in, will it move the driveshaft on a hard angel? or will it be fine? The drive shaft seems to be pretty straight right now.. but i know i need to fix the mount.. just wanted some ideas... I think the motor is stock in there so the mount should bolt right up correct??

Thanks guyz.... im going to get some pics today....

You shouldnt have any problems putting in a new tranny mount. They are $15.00 also at Autozone. It was meant to have one anyway.

with the 318 the 2.5 inch will do, that all depends on what sound you want. the 3 inch would prob give you a deeper sound. drive shafts usually do angle down a little, unless its been lowered. no matter what put a new in.
