ecm 95 dakota??

Is there a difference between a manual and a automatic ecm engine on dakota ?? If yes.... wich differences both have >

Some people say yes, some people say no. I say no, because a manual box will run my auto truck. For 95 back, the computer doesnt shift the trans like 96 up. If you go manual box on an auto tranny, you may have problems with cutting off overdrive.

Okay thank you... but I want to convert an automatic one to a manual ... so if i have an ecm fort automatic and I put the manul tranny. So it will be ok ?

As far as I know the box should work, never known there to a problem,especially because the computer doesn't shift the tranny on first gens so if you go manual w/ auto box there shouldn't be a problem.
