Default Pulley/ belt ?

I am looking at this cog belt and the useless accesories it drives. Who ever decided to put 4 belts on? I want to get rid of the smog and the AC (niether works) and clean up the engine comp. a little. The catch is that the AC, Alt, and crank run on one (actually two) belt, the smog and water pump on another, and another drives the PS pump and water pump. How can I do this?

If your not looking at being able to legally register the car, the smog one can come off because the water pump is also driven by the P/S belt correct? The a/c one might be possible if the belt tensioner is on the alternator, not the a/c. Just get a shorter belt that will stretch from the crank to the alternator only. Just FYI though, removing the smog stuff will no longer make the car passable. The inspectors are usually pretty good at spotting something missing. Unless you have some kind of connection. Just letting you know that you may have to reinstall the system if caught.

I don't have to deal with smog laws here, but thanks for the warning. The PS pump is bad, but that was my plan as well. The alt to crank belt seems to run int the ribbing of the water pump underneath. I planned to space the out and try to go over the w.pump. But if it will clear underneath then I'll try that. Thanks.
