This might sound stupid or something, but i would like to swap out my 4 cylinder 125 hp engine for the Dodge srt-4 230 hp 4 cylinder, that way i wouldn't have to get a new rear end and suspension for my truck. Would this be possible, seein as the dodge srt-4 is front wheel drive. Or what about beefing up the stock 4 cylinder on my dakota, could a turbo and stuff be installed to get the truck up to around 230 - 250 horses.

 

2.5L 4 cyls were available back in the day with a turbo, so i would imagine you could swap the necessary hardware then go with a beefier turbo, know many people who upgraded the turbos on their 2.5L minivans. swapping the srt-4 motor would be expensive in itself let alone finding a way for a rwd tranny to bolt up would almost be a nightmare.
