Default 1991 Dodge Dakota /v6/3.9 eng

I bought this cream puff with 58,000 miles from USAuctions and thought I really
had a deal! The performance is perfect when it has not just cut off ignition
anywhere, anytime. The engine harness looks coroded at bottom terminals.
No wiring harness is available so I have straight wired the bottom 6 but it still
does it. Would straight wiring the whole harness to eliminate the corroded
terminals be the best solution? Is that the only sulution? If I could find a
wiring schematic, I would start with the harness wire going to ignition first.
Anybody out there with an idea?? I ain't no mechanic

I would recommend the Haynes manual. I pick one up for all my vehicles. Shows all the wiring diagrams.. very helpful.. about 20 bucks at any parts store.

I had an intermittent starting issue and power loss from a bad part inside the distributor under the rotor couple screws holding in a round plaistic thing "pick up coil" I think it was called parts place had one for 20$ I think wasn't expensive anyway...

Haynes manual also mentions this and is very handy for anything about your truck.
I aint no mechanic either but that book helps me do all kinds of stuff.
hopes this helps lets us know what happened.
