Default Heater will not turn all the way off

I have a 95 v8 xcab 4x4 with 102000. Like it.

What I do not like is that the heat will not turn all the way off. Air is warm when the heat is off. When the heat is on I get tons of heat. Air does not work but since I live in Wyoming I can live with that part. Did not see a cable controlled in the heater hoses. Pulled part of the dash off, cable seems to be properly attached.

Would appreciate your help.

Thanks

Such as, the blower motor is still running?

Are you saying the fan continues to run, or do you still get a small amount of air coming out of the vents?

The vents are vacuum operated in these trucks. However, there is always a small amount of air that comes through even when the system is off. It is worse if you have the temp control is not at the far left in the recirc position. On mine you can feel a breeze at highway speeds at that setting. Not as bad on recirc but still noticeable.

With the heat all the way to the left, and the blower off, warm air comes out the vents. There is no recirc position on my dash. If I open the heat (move it to the right) the air becomes hot at once. As in HOT. With the blower on a greater amount of (quite warm) air comes out. The warm air is at least 15 degrees above ambivant.
