Default Brake Help

I knew I needed brakes for a long time front and rear, but I didn't have time to do it, until yesterday when my front brakes ( I think only the driver side) locked up so I went and got all new parts rotors two, done it before went fairly easy, but now the passenger side smells like burning and heats the rim up, I thinking calipers, or does it usual for this to happen? Or am I way off???

Thanks

when you replaced the front pads did you notice how hard it was to depress the caliper piston ??? it may need to be lubricated or worst case scenario replace or rebuild the caliper

go to your nearest auto parts store and ask what they would recommend as I am in Canada and I just went to Canadian Tire and grabed a packet of caliper lube can't remember the name but all you have to do is put this stuff all over the piston compress it and then pump the brake to push it back out a little more lube and keep repeating till it goes in easier

also the bolts that hold the caliper onto the truck are slides of a sort, they go through some rubber deals on the caliper. You should lube those with a good silicon grease when you re-install the calipers after doin the brakes. Just coat the bolts with the grease before you bolt the caliper back on.
