code 41

with a 41 in a 91 will i need to repace the cpu or can i just chang the votige regulater

I'm on lunch right now so I don't have a lot of time to look at stuff, but I don't think its a problem with the PCM.
Code 41 means "Alternator field control circuit open or shorted." In short, from what I can tell right now, it might be a problem with the alternator (aka generator) or the associated wiring.

Thats what my book says also.

This would also lead me to check out the alternator wiring. Possibly even take the alternator to a reputable shop and have it tested.

Just what I would do first.
