Ive got a 95 dakota single cab short bed w/5.2l, 5 speed manual. Im purchasing 17x8.5 rims and looking for the best handling suspension available on the market. the price doesn't matter.

I had a Hotchkis suspension on my 99 dakota. I would imagine they would offer one for your 95. It handled really well and you didnt loose the load capabilities of your truck. It dropped mine roughly 1.5". Came with front coils, rear leafs, bigger front sway bar, and a new one for the rear. I bought a set of billstein shocks for it. The thing handled like a dream. I was taking corners like I would in a car. Too bad the truck wound up getting totalled. I wasn't driving it and the person I let drive it managed to destroy it on an old open grate bridge. I cried.

Yeah, it sucks when that happens.

I am not exactly sure of a dollar amount I had put into the truck. I just know it was more then I paid for it. I bought it in 2000, it was gone in 2003. Really bummed me out. You live and you learn I guess.

Now I have a 92 I am working on fixing back up. I felt bad before throwing away brand new parts, now I am just replacing stuff.

I just picked up a turbo shadow also for $100. The body and everything is junk. But the enginewas rebuilt before the car was parked a lil over a year and a half ago. Theres a new turbo sitting in the back seat still in the box. I am seriously beggining to think through what it would take to get the turbo 4 banger in the truck. My truck originally came with a 2.5l in it. The previous owner swapped in a 94 3.9 v6. He never swapped the front springs either so it bounces a lil when I hit a good bump which drives me up the wall. If it wasnt for the fact I just spent a ton of money to get the v6 working again. I wouldnt be thinking twice about the swap. But now its just in the back of my mind bugging me. The thought of morphing two things I love the most. Dakotas and the turbo cars. Oh well enough rambling. Only time will tell I guess.

Good luck with your ride.
