Do i really need to be concerned about the gearing though? It's not a huge deal for me. I'm also seeming to be leaking trany oil from the pan. I thightened up the bolts and it still is leaking. Did i mabye overfill? I checked it yesterday after running it and it was at the right level.

 

I really don't think it has anything to do with the amount of fluid that is in there.
I'm willing to bet is a problem with the gasket.
Wipe off the area where its leaking from. Than, check it later for leaks. Sometimes leaks heal themselves.
