Default Fuel tank strap bolts; which way to go???

The hanger bolts for the fuel tank straps on my 1994 Dakota 3.9L SLT, are those purchase items only through Dodge or can I get an equivalent replacement say like through Lowe's or Home Depot's nut and bolt section? Or through a parts store chain?

I don't know. If you have them out, I would just take them to a store, and they usually have places where you can test the "size" of the bolt.

For those who thinks they'll need replacement U-Nuts for the fuel tank strap bolts on their Dakota...mines a 94...I got the exact same ones from Parts Plus....

No paying crazy dealer prices here.

Now this is the way to go!!!

Are they studs? You may be able to get them at any hardware or auto parts store provided they have the correct length. The dealer may be able to get them for around $3 each...there's only 2 of them?
