im thinking about pulling my throttle body off my 93 3.9 liter and cleaning it,any suggestions or tips.also do i have to buy a new gasket for it?

 

Pretty much, just take it out, spray some throttle body cleaner at it and get 'er clean, and put it back.
Before re-installing it, you should clean the mating metal surfaces on the intake and the throttle body. You will also need to use a new gasket.
